Last Monday, we had our last band and choir concert of the year! It was wonderful to hear the amazing growth students made! During the concert, Mr. Burkhart and Ms. Sickler celebrated special student achievements. Thank you to Mr. Burkhart and Ms. Sickler. #GoDemons!

Did you know 8th-graders who have an A in Art get a special place on the Art Room wall to share their passion for Art?

Some of our students' art is on display from Mrs. Lynn's Art class.

During the week of April 28th, WMS Health/P.E. students had the opportunity to reflect on the impacts of alcohol use and hear firsthand how it can negatively impact someone's life. The students were an appreciative audience and learned from the perspective of individuals who have struggled with alcohol and are now helping others!

Last week, soon-to-be 6th graders visited WMS. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and curiosity. Thank you to our student leaders who toured students around the school and presented information to each group. Thank you to Mrs. Nissley for organizing the event.

WMS celebrated its 4th Annual Community STEM Night! It was so wonderful to have visitors of all ages. Thank you to the many community partners (businesses and organizations) for celebrating STEM with our visitors. Volunteers facilitated many hands-on activities involving STEM, such as Slime, Fidget Spinners, Build a Boat, 3-D Printing, Straw Rockets, Arcade Games, Football Helmets, and more! It was a great evening!
PS I must remember to have less fun and take more pictures next year!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, WMS Teachers!! We appreciate you every day, but we like celebrating you a little more during this special week!

NJHS sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday. The students were very excited and on the lookout. The first egg found, and it was #1!

6th grade readers in Mrs. Eckert's classes wrapped up their EB Academics Readers Theater unit where they wrote their scripts modernizing the classic story “Snow White.” 6th graders studied timing, theme, mood, tone, and dialogue to create a masterpiece they performed in front of their classmates! There was lots of fun and laughter while learning! 🎭
