The students from LES & WMS had the opportunity to preview the HS musical/play "Beauty & the Beast" today. We would highly recommend to everyone to come out and watch tonight at tomorrow night at 7 pm or on Sunday at 2 pm!

Nationally recognized social skills educator/presenter Jeff Veley was at WMS presenting to our students. His message about how to handle conflict/bullies was well received. Today is the last day of RED RIBBON WEEK. The red ribbon is a symbol to eliminate the demand for drugs. It symbolizes a commitment to a healthy drug-free lifestyle, no use of any illegal drug and no illegal use of a legal drug. Our plans to celebrate RED RIBBON WEEK here at WMS are as follows:
Thursday: “InVEST in a Drug Free Life!” - Vest Day
Today we will be running an early out schedule. Students will be released at 1:18 pm and there will be no school tomorrow. Parent/Teacher conferences will be tonight from 2-8 pm in teacher classrooms. Please encourage your parents to pick up your report card and schedule from the main office when they arrive.
Students, we had some mixups at the fundraiser item checkout where some online purchases were inadvertently pulled from the order. Please come down to the office at this time if you had items pulled from your order. We also had a number of items that were not shipped that we will reorder. If you did not pick up your order yesterday, please come down to the office at this time.

Just a reminder about PT conferences on Thursday, November 1st from 2-8 pm. This is the same across the entire district. We will have conferences in the teacher classrooms this year instead of the gym. Please stop by the office and pick up your child's quarter report card, a schedule & map of the school. For those of you who are unable to make it in for PT conferences, we will be mailing out report cards Friday.

1st quarter in the books but we are still working hard to get ALL kids off the list. As of right now 64 missing assignments out from 17 students with over 2k missing assignments turned in for the quarter (We will keep working on/supporting these kids until they are caught up). The Fundraiser items delivery date is TODAY Monday, October 29th. Please plan on helping your child pick up their items in the MS cafeteria to deliver that day after school. There is no way the kids will be able to take them on the bus with them as there isn't enough room. We will be at the school from 3:30-5:30 pm. Thanks again to everyone who supported our fundraiser!

First day of winter sports practices tonight after school. Remember, sports physicals are required before a student can start practice. The schedule is listed below:
Wrestling: 3:30 pm at DCHS. Ride the bus to the high school and meet in the locker room with Coach Hostetler.
Girls Basketball: 6th grade- 3:30 at WMS cafeteria until 5 pm. 7th grade- 3:30 at WMS gym until 5:15 pm, 8th- 5:15-7:45 pm at WMS gym.
